On Tuesday, the 9th July, signing the sales contract the joint stock company „Valmieras stikla šķiedra” bought the entity P-D Interglas Technologies Ltd in Great Britain. The contract is valid with the date of 1st January 2013.
“The purchase of P-D Interglas Technologies Ltd is one of the way the JSC „Valmieras stikla škiedra” is continuing to strengthen and expand the production of fiber glass and its’ products in the world. We see a strong capability for growth, unifying the knowledge, experience and export possibilities of both companies as well as by making and developing new projects,” says the vice-chairman of the board Andre Heinz Schwiontek.
With the purchase of P-D Interglas Technologies Ltd the JSC „Valmieras stikla škiedra” is positioning itself as a vertically integrated supplier of different composite materials for the aviation industry – from glass fiber production to impregnated / reinforced fabrics.
Now being the affiliate of JSC “Valmieras stikla škiedra” is the above mentioned company of fiber glass treatment renamed as Valmiera Glass UK Ltd. The bought company has more than 80 year experience in glass fiber textile processing and there are more than 130 employees.
