VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, AS has joined the Latvia-wide health and safety initiative Mission Zero. This initiative unites its members in their care for workplace safety and shares the common goal of achieving zero accidents.
“We have joined this initiative because the company shares the belief of its authors that the only acceptable number of workplace accidents is zero. Achieving this goal requires a responsible approach, risk assessment, and continuous performance improvement. Participation in the initiative also provides greater opportunities for our safety specialists to network, learn, and adapt best practices. We are confident that this will help implement the best possible solutions and elevate the overall safety culture within our company. It is an additional tool in achieving the goals set by our sustainability policy: to create a workplace together where every employee succeeds, provided by secure employment, fair wages and a culture of well-being,” says Pārsla Dance, head of the company's Environment, Health and Safety Department.
The Mission Zero Charter is a voluntary commitment to implementing and adhering to business principles centred on people - their health and safety.
#MissionZero - may everyone return home safe and healthy! Health and safety starts with us!
