In 2022, VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, AS paid 12 million euros in labour taxes

Continuing the annual tradition of honoring the largest taxpayers in Latvia, The State Revenue Service, in appreciation of the company`s contribution to the welfare of the country and the region, has awarded VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, AS as the largest labour taxpayer in the Vidzeme region in the group of large companies in 2022. Last year the company has paid 12 million euros in labour taxes, from which 4 million euros were formed by the personal income tax, but the other 8 million euros – social tax. 

“We are appreciative about the State Revenue Service evaluation but are more proud that,  with our everyday work, we can help in the development of the region and ensure stable jobs, as well as competitive pay to the population of the Vidzeme region. We will continue to work and invest in the company's development with a great sense of responsibility towards our industry, country, and our employees that are the company's greatest asset. Without the contribution of our employees, it would not be possible to build such a strong business baseline, that carries the name of the country past its borders,” comments on the received award from VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, AS chairmen of the board Stefan Jugel. 

VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, AS turnover in 2022 reached 127.9 million euros, which is a 44% increase in comparison to 2021, while the investments for the factory development and innovative projects were measured in 13.4 million euros. To tend to the welfare of our employees and ease the burden of daily expenses, in the duration of the last year, the company has invested 2.1 million euros in employee benefits, including providing financial support for families with children, co-financing sports activities, catering and support for fuel consumption, as well as organizing transport to and from work.
