Georgia State Government and Business Leaders` Visit to AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA

Commissioner Pat Wilson of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, high-level Georgia state government officials and business leaders from the public-private partnership Georgia Allies made a working visit to AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA on 3 October 2018. The objective of the visit was to get to know the parent company of VALMIERA GLASS GROUP, which has implemented a major investment project in the USA by constructing the glass fibre processing plant P-D VALMIERA GLASS USA Corp.

During the visit Stefan Jugel, Chairman of the Management Board of AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA, showed the members of the delegation around the Valmiera based plant. The parties also discussed current events in the areas of employment and attracting human resources, as well as cooperation opportunities for streamlining and developing the work processes at the U.S. based plant.
