On October 20, AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA was visited by Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis with a delegation to familiarize himself with current affairs in employment matters.
The company's board member, Ģirts Vēveris, introduced the delegation to the company's history and current events, as well as the wide range and versatile use of the products. On the other hand, Dace Purmale, the HR director of the company, informed about the challenges we face as an employer - lack of employees, integration of the labor force of third countries into the company and cooperation with state institutions in employment matters.
"At the moment, the labor market is very changeable, full of challenges, and we, as a company that needs people to ensure and develop its operations, must once again be able to adapt, investing quite a bit of our resources - in order to be able to attract new colleagues and keep the existing ones. In total, 1,211 employees currently provide production in such a way that they are able to fulfill all customer orders and provide everything else necessary. This is our responsibility towards all employees and their families. It is very important that the officials who would help solve labor-related issues at the national level also see the overall picture," says board member Ģirts Vēveris.
Valmiera was visited by Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis, Parliamentary Secretary Jurģis Miezainis, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Edmunds Valantis.
