On 11th January, a power generator departed from the Valmiera company and headed for the Ukrainian city of Chervonohrad to help and support Ukrainians who have encountered power and heat supply disruptions because of the war. Currently, generators are sometimes the only option for Ukrainians to boil water for tea or have light, warmth and water in their homes.
The company’s Board Member Ģirts Vēveris, handing over the donation to the Executive Director of the Association of Small Towns of Ukraine Oksana Kirilyuk, said: “We understand very well what the people of Ukraine are going through right now and feel with them. To help the citizens of Ukraine to withstand the difficulties of the war, the least we can do is to give an opportunity to get at least a small share of heat, light or resources for running the vitally important equipment. Our donated generator is almost new; it has worked for a mere couple of hours. Its full maintenance has been performed and it has been filled up with the fuel to be connected and used immediately wherever necessary. We wish that our generator serves well and helps Ukrainians to withstand the difficult winter!”
