On 29 November, AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA received a Family-Friendly Workplace certificate from the Society Integration Foundation (SIF). The evaluation committee has praised the benefit package offered and funded by the company which is focused on both company’s employees and their families.
AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA provides financial support to families in different life situations and tries to make working schedules as predictable as possible for our employees. Shift workers, for example, know their schedules in advance for the current year and can easily plan their leisure activities and vacations. Those employees whose nature of work allows it can work remotely part of the time and enjoy the advantages of flexitime. Our employees’ families are always invited to participate in traditional activities and events organised by the company.

Today, AS VALMIERAS STIKLA ŠĶIEDRA employees 1,164 people and the average age of its employees is 40 years. 75% of the company’s employees live in Valmiera and the Valmiera Region. The other employees come from neighbouring regions or travel as far as 120 km to their place of work in Valmiera.
