Laminated fabrics

We offer laminated glass fibre fabrics which can be produced from from 2 types of glass - E-glass with thermal resistance of 600°C and SiO2-glass with thermal resistance of 1000+°C. The temperature of 600°C and 1000+°C given here refers to the loomstate fabric.

Finishes such as laminating have an additional effect on the temperature resistance. Application features from laminating: media-tight, gas-tight, resistant to abrasion and buckling, high thermal radiation reflection capability.

Laminates for industrial thermal insulation are made from alkali free alumina borosilicate E-glass fibre yarns. For the production of laminates for thermal insulation the yarns used have a filament diameter of 6 and 9 µm.
Application: typical applications are tube, wire and cable insulation, insulation for the automotive industry as well as personal protective equipment. Application features from laminating: media-tight, gas-tight, resistant to abrasion and buckling, high thermal radiation reflection capability.

Parameters:

  • mass per unit area 200 to 780 g/m²;
  • coating: laminated with metallized Polyester foil or Aluminum foil; One sided or double sided laminated in combination with high temperature; self-adhesive; options for additional one side coating with Polyurethane or Silicone.

Designation: e.g. TG-200-AL, where:
TG - type (technical fabric),
200 - mass per unit area of raw material, g/m²,
AL - aluminum foil (18 µm and other µm upon request).

Other options:
GT - type (texturized fabric),
GW - type (glass wire reinforced fabric),
AL - type (aluminum foil,12 µm),
MPF - type (metalized polyester foil, 25µm),
SS - Silicone Premium,
SH - Silicone Industrial,
PU - Polyurethane Premium,
PH - Polyurethane Industrial,
PSA - High Temperature Pressure Sensitive Adhesive,
G - colour (grey),
W - colour (white),
1 - one side coated or laminated,
2 - double side coated or laminated / or combinations.

HR-glass (High-Resist glass) is alkali-free aluminosilicate glass that does not contain boron oxide. This glass type could fully substitute E-glass in various aspects. The most important feature of this type of glass is its heat resistance of up to 800°C.

Advantages of HR-glass fibre compared to E-glass:

  • higher chemical resistance, particularly in alkaline and water environments;
  • higher heat resistance;
  • environmentally friendlier glass melting process - does not create dust emissions containing boron oxide.

Designation: e.g. HRTG-400-MPF-1, where "HR" means glass type, TG - technical fabric; 400 - mass per unit area of raw material, g/m²; MPF - metalized polyester foil (25µm); 1 - one side coated or laminated.

Other options: GT - texturized fabric; GW - steel wire reinforced; AL - aluminum foil (18µm and other µm upon request); SI – Silicone Premium; SH - Silicone Industrial; PU – Polyurethane Premium; PH - Polyurethane Industrial; PSA - High Temperature Pressure Sensitive Adhesive; G – grey; W – white; 1 - one side coated or laminated; 2 - double side laminated / or combinations.
