OVERALL FUNCTION AND DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
Assist with the day to day running of machine process requirements within the department, optimising quality standards and maximising efficiency throughout.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Assist with the running of any machines in the finishing department;
- Communicate all faults and production area issues to the Finishing Lead Person and/ or Production manager;
- Follow and implement standard operating procedures, making and documenting adjustments where necessary, to improve the quality and/or efficiency of the machines;
- Adjust machine controls when instructed to do so by the Finishing Lead Person, to improve quality and efficiency;
- Join fabric with heat sealer;
- Keep area clean and tidy and ensure 5S is followed;
- Assist in removing rolls off the front of the machine;
- Undertaking training before working independently on machines;
- Cover tasks in other areas as required;
- Rotating shift work.
SPECIFIC SKILLS AND/ OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to self-manage, organise and prioritise tasks in accordance with company expectations;
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well both in teams and individually;
- Good verbal and written English language skills;
- Physically fit – required to lift 25kgs continuously throughout the working day;
- Satisfactory numeracy and literacy ability required to complete company records/ follow procedures;
- Working knowledge of current health & safety policies and procedures.
Previous experience does not matter: no other place in the UK provides the necessary experience. We will teach you everything you need to work with us.

- Constantly observe the material on the machines, taking appropriate action when faults are observed in accordance with company standards and procedures;
- Make any checks necessary to ensure the smooth running of the machine;
- Make adjustments to machine controls when instructed to do so by the shift leader;
- Loading and unloading material onto machinery, using a hoist as required;
- Ensure that PPE and RPE is used and maintained to a good standard;
- Rotating shift work.

Overall function and description of the job:
To sell company products in an ethical and profitable way, providing a first-class service to the company’s existing and new accounts for which they are responsible. To act as an intermediary between the producers (internal and external) of products and the clientele. To make necessary phone calls and arrange meetings to help promote products and achieve sales targets.
Main duties:
- Engage superior customer service, though the promotion of products and experience to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Provide superior customer service Using experience and through the promotion of products achieve and surpass sales Targets.
- Schedule and attend appointments and meetings as necessary.
- Assist clients in the selection of appropriate products, answering questions with product knowledge or acting as an intermediary between technical and production resources / personnel.
- Finding inventive new ways to sell company products.
- Create, engage, and work to sales budgets and forecasts.
- Analyse the market areas and competition to provide market reports.
- Attend and set up booths at trade shows as necessary.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on customer visits and new prospects.
- Ensure that customer records are kept up to date, including visit reports, quotes, orders, and subsequent invoicing.
- To receive customer orders, check specifications and price lists and enter all standard information on to computer system. Produce a computer order confirmation for checking and signature.
- Monitor customer orders in conjunction with planning and advise of any delivery changes; making pro-active calls to generate new orders.
- In the event of customer complaints, instigate the company’s complaints’ policy
- Liaise with Credit Controller over overdue accounts.
Position requirements:
- Experience in industrial sales B2B- minimum 5 years;
- Significant experience in a Sales Management role from within a related industry;
- Any experience with technical textiles, glass fibre, composites or woven products would be advantageous but is not essential;
- Commercial background with passion for technical topics;
- Experience working in an international team;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to travel freely within western Europe;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Full UK driving license required;
- Performance management, problem solving and negotiation skills, analysis & decision-making abilities;
- Computer Literate, with experience in ERP software such as SAP;
- Strong written and verbal English skills;
- German language skills would be beneficial.
